The Mighty Danube
The Danube is without doubt the most representative river in Europe, flowing through 10 countries from its source in the Black Forest mountains, Germany to its Delta, 2850 km downstream, in Romania.
It holds the record of being the deepest river in Europe and the 3rd deepest in the world after Congo and Yangtze, with more than 100m depth in the Danube Gorges.
The Danube Delta is an unique wetland ecosystem, sheltering more than 300 species of birds and 160 species of fish.

Being included on the UNESCO’s World Heritage list, The Danube Delta is the northernmost exotic ecosystem, with more than 5000 square km of swamps, ponds and reed marshes (one of the largest single body reed marsh in the world).
The natural reserve shelters hundreds of species of birds, fish and mammals, from pelicans, ibises to otters and wild horses. The settlements here are based on tourism and fishing, some with a very traditional lifestyle.
Our guides are specialized in wildlife and ecotourism, so a complete experience is guaranteed!
